Hypotension is a risk, even for
low-risk patients
Even for lower risk patients and procedures, short periods of hypotension may have serious consequences.* A randomized controlled trial demonstrated that patients monitored with a continuous noninvasive finger cuff experienced about 90% less hypotension during noncardiac surgery compared to patients monitored with traditional arm cuffs.**2
The cost of blood pressure inaccuracy
A recent study showed that 50% of intraoperative blood pressure measurements from the traditional arm cuff were inaccurate when compared to intra-arterial blood pressure. Inaccurate blood pressure measurements during surgery can result in missing timely therapeutic interventions.***3

Provides an accurate arterial waveform
VitaWave™ Plus System provides a blood pressure waveform with accuracy comparable to a radial arterial line, noninvasively. The system automatically calibrates to ensure accurate measurements, even with changes in vascular tone.
During surgery, the traditional arm cuff has been shown to overestimate intraoperative blood pressure in lower ranges and underestimate blood pressure in higher ranges.***3
