Hypotension is common and results from the body’s inability to compensate for complex pathophysiological effects from various etiologies. Blood pressure during surgery is most commonly monitored intermittently using an oscillometric cuff, which may lead to delayed recognition and treatment of hypotension and does not provide additional information to assess potential etiologies.
Join our expert panel as they review the latest evidence and explore applications of continuous noninvasive blood pressure and advanced hemodynamic monitoring solutions to identify hemodynamic instability before hypotension occurs and help guide individualized hypotension treatment across a variety of surgical service lines, procedures, and patient populations.

Acumen Hypotension Prediction Index (HPI) software
Acumen HPI software detects and helps clinicians treat hemodynamic instability. Unlocked through a noninvasive finger cuff or minimally-invasive sensor, Acumen HPI software enables you to drill down to the root cause of instability, so you can proactively prevent or treat hypotension.
In a multicenter study of over 700 noncardiac patients, the use of Acumen HPI software demonstrated a low incidence, duration, and severity of hypotension.1*
*Multicenter, prospective, observational study across 5 countries monitored with Acumen IQ arterial line sensor. Hypotension defined as >1 min below MAP 65 mmHg.
Acumen IQ cuff*
Provides continuous noninvasive blood pressure and predictive hemodynamic monitoring with accuracy comparable to a radial arterial line. Acumen IQ cuff unlocks Acumen Hypotension Prediction Index (HPI) software, which detects hemodynamic instability and enables you to drill down to the root cause - so you can prevent or treat hypotension.
*Acumen HPI parameter is indicated for surgical patients only when using an Acumen IQ cuff.
Acumen IQ sensor
Acumen IQ sensor unlocks Acumen HPI software, which is designed to help you predict and treat hypotension, and Acumen Assisted Fluid Management (AFM) software, which predicts a patient's fluid responsiveness.* With access to advanced hemodynamic monitoring and predictive algorithms for optimizing pressure and flow, you gain valuable insight into the adequacy of perfusion.
*Acumen IQ sensor is indicated for surgical and nonsurgical patients when using with Acumen HPI software. It is only indicated for surgical patients when using with Acumen AFM software.
ForeSight tissue oximetry sensor
ForeSight sensor enables you to trend relative changes in total hemoglobin (ΔctHb) with StO2 levels, which provides additional insights into potential causes of StO2 imbalances to inform your intervention decision.
Swan-Ganz catheter
Swan-Ganz advanced technology pulmonary artery catheter enables continuous assessment of pressure, flow, and oxygen delivery and consumption for your most complex patients.
